Using the Online Training Request System (OTRS)

1. Can I request more than one module at a time?

There is no limit on how many training requests an agency may make, though our system currently only allows an agency to sign up for four trainings in one day at a time.  If you would like to request more trainings, simply request the first four, and then redo the process for the next training(s).

For a step-by-step guide on how to request trainings, click on "How To: Training Request System" under the Trainers & Topics tab when you login to your account.

2. I made a training request. How do I know when it has been accepted?

The email listed on the OTRS account for your agency will receive an email confirming that your training request has been accepted.  This Trainer will be in touch with you shortly thereafter.

3. How do I know what training module is right for my program?

You can view descriptions of each module by clicking on "Training Modules" under the Trainers & Topics tab.  We also encourage you to discuss your module selection with your Trainer after your request has been accepted. Your Trainer may be able to suggest more topics that are appropriate for your agency.

4. Are there modules that work well when paired with other modules?

Yes, most of our modules work well together. Please contact the office for more information.

5. How much does my agency have to pay for the trainings?

Currently, CalSAC offers both free and low cost training to any program that serves children and youth during out-of-school time hours. Free training is made possible through generous funding from the California Department of Education, Child Development Division. Click here to view the fee structure for low cost trainings.
