CalSAC Trainer Network: A network which builds the training and facilitation skills of leaders in the field who, in turn, provide training to afterschool program staff, volunteers and administrators working in a variety of programs across the state. The Trainer Network provides free and low-cost onsite training to afterschool and school-age care providers. This school-age training project is funding by the California Department of Education Child Development Division.

Leadership Development Institute: A pilot project that aims to increase the capacity for leaders in the OST field to create more responsive programming, policies, and services that reflect the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity of California.

NPASS: Taking the National Partnerships for AfterSchool Science to Scale (NPASS2) is a three-year NSF Informal Science Education (ISE) project, based at EDC. NPASS2 is training new cadres of ISE "Science Trainers" in eight partnering states to promote and support high-quality science [STEM] project work at out-of-school time (OST) agencies in their state.

STEM Institute: With funding from the Bechtel, Noyce, and Packard Foundations, the STEM Summer Institute is part of the Bay Area STEM Teacher Pathway Program which aims to engage more young adults in a career in education and youth work with an intentional focus on math and science.

Workforce Development:  A variety of programs aimed at increasing the pipeline of qualified part-time, entry-level workers into the afterschool field, as well as providing the support these new workers will need to succeed on the job.
