Tools to Promote Reading Fun

Get free materials to promote reading for fun and positive choices in movie viewing.  Created through a partnership by the National Collaboration for Youth, Heartland Film Festival -   Truly Moving Pictures and Walden Media you can access free materials to use with young people in your programs. The first launch of this work is “Because of You,” a literacy, film and volunteer program based on the award-winning children's novel , “Because of Winn-Dixie. This is in direct response to the recent study conducted by the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) that reported between 26 and 37 percent of youth in the United States struggle with reading and/or writing.
