The California Afterschool Challenge

2013 Event Highlights

Over 200 California afterschool and school-age child care professionals, families and youth joined us at the Capitol on May 20-21 for the 9th Annual CA Afterschool Challenge.

This year's event was marked by record high numbers of youth participants, a new advocacy training track for Spanish speakers and the John Reith All Star Marching Band and Color Guard. With legislative support from Senator Leno, Senator Corbett, Assemblymember Gordon and Senator Jackson - we even made the news!
